About project

NFTrends is a cutting-edge company that merges luxury and art sectors with technology, using a tech-savvy blockchain approach for secure ownership authentication of unique items.

Pioneering digital scarcity, it authenticates and tracks ownership for both physical and digital items, distinguishing itself from traditional authentication methodologies. Although not a selling platform, NFTrends integrates its technology with various existing platforms, including those selling digital arts.

Main task

Turum-burum's task was to create from scratch the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) for the NFTrends platform and personal accounts, catering to four different user flows. The task was to design a user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing, and feature-rich interface that facilitates the creation of Digital Product Passports for luxury brands and artists, serving customers who invest in these pieces.

The challenge lay in crafting an interface that appeals to luxury brands, which often prefer a subdued tone, and the digital art crowd, which favors a brighter color palette.
Project feature
With no existing benchmarks to follow, we had to design an entirely innovative and seamless system entirely from scratch. The project's main challenge was to communicate the features and benefits of digitizing and tokenizing artworks and luxury products to an ordinary user from the worlds of art and fashion in a “language” that they would understand.
Client requirements
The future site was to be tailored to the client's requirements:
  • Not to resemble cryptocurrencies;
  • Not for developers or gamers;
  • No 3D, avatars, and clutter to fit a diverse audience and high-end products/art;
  • Catered to both luxury and art enthusiasts;
  • An eye-catching, interesting design with simple fonts.
Key project work stages:
UX design stage
  • Research and specification: Conducted in-depth research in close collaboration with the development team from Dysnix to understand user needs and market trends. The UX analyst worked through a comprehensive project specification outlining key functionalities.
  • Information and navigation architecture: Developed the information and navigation architecture, mapping out four main user flows: Business Owner, Inventory Manager, Dealer, and Buyer.

2) Information and navigation architecture: Developed the information and navigation architecture, mapping out four main user flows: Business Owner, Inventory Manager, Dealer, and Buyer.
  • Prototype development: Crafted low-fidelity prototypes to visualize the user experience and journeys, focusing on simplicity and ease of use.
  • High-Fidelity prototyping: Translated low-fidelity prototypes into high-fidelity designs of all flows, shaping the interface into a user-friendly and intuitive system with project functionality that met all requirements.

UI design stage
  • Materials handover: Receive all research, artifacts, and prototypes from the UX team, along with detailed descriptions of flows and business specifics.
  • Client collaboration: Worked closely with NFTrends to understand their branding guidelines and aesthetic preferences like clean design, light pastel colors, simple fonts, and avoidance of 3D elements and avatars.
  • Design iterations: Started with a mood board before the 1st iteration, which was later adjusted due to client's changing preferences. The design evolved through three iterations, deepening the color scheme, and introducing background images for added depth, ensuring cohesion with luxury and art audiences.
  • Finalization and UI guidelines: The final website UX/UI design seamlessly integrated business objectives and marketing functionalities. Developed UI guidelines for flexible addition and modification of design elements tailored to brand identity.

Results

The close collaboration of Turum-burum with NFTrends and Dysnix's Web3 developers resulted in the successful creation of a user-friendly platform for authenticating and ownership tracking of physical and digital items.

The final UX/UI design seamlessly covered all the requirements and conveyed the main idea of the project, bridging the gap for art and fashion enthusiasts with the latest technologies, and acquainting them with the transformative power of digitization.

NFTrends now stands alone as a pioneer in the digital and physical space, setting a new standard for authenticity and innovation from the ground up.
