About the Project

Hop Hey is the largest chain of draft beer stores in Ukraine, leading in sales volume, recognition, and visitor numbers:
  • Established in 2009;
  • 400 branded stores in 30 cities across Ukraine.

Objective:

Enhance the quality of the business's online presence in the market through the redesign of the mobile app, which should be user-friendly and maintain brand recognition, customer loyalty, and trust.

Project Insights

We studied the product, market, competitors, and the store’s target audience. Conducted a detailed analysis of the customer journey for selecting and purchasing draft beer and snacks for different delivery types.
UX audit
Identified pain points that occur during user interaction with the app.
Customer journey map
Developed a CJM with interaction points with the mobile application in terms of tasks that needed to be solved.
We worked on the product selection flow: what
the user does and how the system responds.
Prototyping
Based on the CJM, we created high-level prototypes to have a clear understanding of which tasks are solved on each screen.
The next stage involved more detailed development and creating low-level prototypes.

Proposed adding an online card that is always at hand – in the mobile application.

Designed the mobile app interface using the tunnel principle: one screen — one action.

Product Page

"Delicious" images in branded dishware, detailed specifications, and descriptions of the product,
cross-sale blocks, customer reviews.
Order Placement Page
The order placement page is simple and quick to fill out, without unnecessary fields and elements.

Result:

With the help of the mobile app, it was possible to demonstrate HOP HEY company's customer orientation, highlight the existing identity, minimize rebranding risks, increase customer loyalty to the brand, and increase the level of conversion and the number of regular customers in the network.
